Texas Christian University – Meet Edwin Holt

A few weeks ago, I met Edwin for lunch at a restaurant in Dallas. Edwin owns Holt Creative Group (www.holtcreativegroup.com), a full service Advertising firm with offices in Dallas and Tyler. I did some initial research on Edwin before this meeting and discovered a blues singer with the same name. I figured there was no connection and quickly moved on to something else. During lunch, after Edwin commented on his son’s choir scholarship to St. Olaf College in Minnesota, I immediately recalled that information I had discovered. I said to Edwin, “Who is the singer in the family?” Edwin said, “Oh, me” (said in a very understated way), and I said “Wait a minute.
